Vs Super Mario Bros NES Repro
After talking to a fellow producer of reproductions. They peaked my interest into getting back into doing NES repros. I mainly do snes and genesis rom hacks, region exclusives, and translations.
Like most other nrom & cnrom nes boards. It is also jedec drop in compatible. This means their is no re-wiring required. Unlike most other repros, this one uses nmos eproms. Two 27256 to be more precise. First tried to experiment using two cmos 27c256 eproms, this failed. However, the nmos eproms worked like a charm.
A reproduction pcb wasn't used. In this case a SAROM board (Dragon Warrior) was sacrificed for this rom hack.
It is one intense game. The great people at Rusted Logic/Wixsoft did the rom hack to get the arcade port to the NES, more faithful. Patch can be found here.
